Morning Television Fashion: How Do your Favorite Hosts Rate?

I try to wake up early enough to catch the start of the early morning news shows. It gives me some alone time before the kids get up demanding breakfast or lunch money. I’m sitting there in my bathrobe bleary eyed and barely focused waiting for that fist jolt of caffeine to kick in and I can’t help wondering how these morning television hosts manage to look alert, awake and perfectly coiffed.
TV personalities require a certain amount of wardrobe and makeup time before they go on-air so these early morning hosts are getting up in the wee hours of the morning. In a recent interview Matt Lauer of the Today Show reported that he sets his alarm and his Blackberry for 4:10am. Al Roker gets up even earlier at 3:15am. Incredibly Meredith Vieira is up long before that and is already checking messages by the time Al’s alarm goes off.
Despite or maybe because of their early wake-up calls most morning show hosts are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed by their 7am airtime. Robin Roberts of Good Morning America for instance is consistently glamorous. I personally favor the wardrobe of Ann Curry and Natalie Morales of the Today Show, which is casual and chic
